Kings Global Celebrates Annual Sports Day with Energy, Inclusion, and a Strong People-First Spirit

By early Sunday morning, the Papal Seminary Football Ground felt less like a conventional sports venue and more like a complete hub of action and anticipation. Kings Global marked its Annual Sports Day with high energy, inclusive participation, and a powerful display of togetherness, bringing employees from across its group companies onto one field.

With a workforce of over 3,000 employees, Kings Global’s Sports Day stood as a reflection of the organisation’s deeply rooted employee-centric culture. More than a calendar event, the day reinforced the company’s ongoing focus on physical fitness, mental well-being, teamwork, and community, values that continue to shape its workplace environment.

The celebrations were formally inaugurated in the presence of distinguished guests, including Chief Guest Mr. Yogesh Mulik, Corporator of Wadgaon Sheri, along with Kings Global Founder & Chairman Mr. Kartik Anand and Director Mrs. Neha Anand. Their presence added significance to the occasion and underlined the organisation’s commitment to leadership engagement and employee well-being. Mr. Yogesh Mulik was honoured with flowers and a ceremonial shawl, and in his brief address, he spoke about the importance of sport in building discipline, resilience, and unity, values that resonated strongly with the gathering.

The day began with a grand opening ceremony that immediately set the tone for what lay ahead. One of the key highlights was the traditional march past, where house captains led their teams onto the ground, proudly dressed in their respective house colours. Employees marched behind their captains in unison, symbolising discipline, unity, and collective pride. The sight of teams moving together, accompanied by loud cheers from colleagues, created a festive and charged atmosphere.

Following the march past, a ceremonial ribbon cutting officially marked the commencement of Sports Day. Balloons were released into the air, symbolising positivity, shared aspirations, and the free-spirited nature of sport. The opening ceremony not only showcased coordination and enthusiasm but also reinforced Kings Global’s belief in celebrating milestones together as one large family.

The sporting events that followed were designed to encourage participation across all roles and age groups. Competitive events such as track races and shot put tested strength, speed, and endurance, while lighter activities like the lemon-and-spoon race, sack race, blindfold race, frisbee, and relay races brought laughter and a sense of play to the field. The carefully curated mix ensured that everyone; whether a seasoned athlete or a first-time participant, could take part and enjoy the day.

A notable highlight of the event was the strong participation of women employees. With women comprising nearly 35% of Kings Global’s workforce, the Sports Day saw enthusiastic and confident representation across both competitive and fun events. Their active participation reflected the inclusive culture Kings Global continues to foster, where opportunity, encouragement, and visibility are shared equally across the organisation.

Among the most anticipated and high-energy moments of the day was the Tug of War. What made the event particularly memorable was the participation of management alongside employees. Leaders and managers joined their teams on the field, competing shoulder-to-shoulder with their colleagues. The sight of leadership pulling ropes alongside teams broke hierarchical barriers and was met with loud cheers, laughter, and infectious excitement; strengthening bonds across levels.

And whilst adrenaline was high and consistent on the tracks, stealing hearts off the field was Niko Niko, Kings Global’s premium ice-cream brand, and Fuji Cream, it’s first-ever ice cream venture, delighted participants with a vibrant pop-up. On a scorching hot day, packed with action, the ice cream proved to be the ultimate refreshment: cool, indulgent, and absolutely on point.

Throughout the day, the grounds echoed with encouragement, celebration, and camaraderie. Competition remained healthy and respectful, with sportsmanship evident in both victory and defeat. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where winners were recognised with cash prizes, medals, and certificates; celebrating effort, participation, and achievement.

Speaking on the occasion, the leadership reiterated the importance of such initiatives in building a positive and balanced work environment. Kings Global’s Annual Sports Day remains a key part of its broader focus on physical fitness, mental well-being, teamwork, and employee engagement.

By the time the dust settled, the scoreboard mattered less than the smiles, the high-fives, fist-bumps, and a shared sense of having been part of something bigger…not to forget, leaving the ground a little more connected than before. It was an affirmation that at Kings Global, success is built not only through performance at work, but through shared spirit, energy, and unity beyond it.

At Anand Finhouse Consulting (AFC), we didn’t start with a grand plan, we started with a simple belief: that good businesses deserve more than just money. They need people who will roll up their sleeves, ask the hard questions, and stay in for the long haul.

Over the years, we’ve partnered with the founders across sectors like, tech, retail, food, hospitality, media, and automobiles – mostly SMEs, ambitious but often overlooked. Our focus has always been India and the wider global opportunity, but more than that, it’s been about backing people who are building with a purpose.

We go beyond investment. We stay involved right from board advisory support to guiding legal and secretarial compliance, to simply being a sounding board when the stakes are high and the answers aren’t obvious.

At Circle of Crust, we didn’t just want to make another pizza brand, we wanted to make pizza better. We kept the indulgence, skipped the junk, and built our crusts with wholesome multigrain and whole wheat bases. It’s because enjoying great food shouldn’t mean cuing corners on health.

Of course, we know sometimes you just want a classic, so yes, we’ve got your regular pizzas too. Same commitment to quality, same aention to detail. With 15+ outlets across 5 cities and 2 countries, we’re growing with a simple idea: serve pizza that feels good, tastes great, and respects what people really want.

At Autowerks, we didn’t start with a big brand plan – we started with a love for cars and a deep annoyance at how carelessly they were being treated. Too many places cut corners, we don’t.
